Digital multi-meter measurement error calculation method
The following equation is used to calculate measurement error.
±{([ measurement value ]×[ accuracy ]<rdg>) + range error <dgt>}
For example, when applied to a Sanwa PC510a, if a true value of 2.000V is measured when using the 5.000V range of 510a,
the accuracy is ± ( 0.08% rdg + 2 dgt), so the range will be between 1. 996 to 2.004V.
* In a calculation where the accuracy error is 0.0016V and the range error 0.002V, the range is between 1.9964 to 2.0036V, but since PC510a displays up to four digits, the fifth digit should be rounded off.
