- Question
- The pointer moves when nothing is being measured. Is there any countermeasures?
- Answer
- Since the pointer is not fixed, shaking the tester makes the pointer move left and right. The pointer moving when the tester is put on the table etc. may be caused by influence of static electricity. The meter cover made of acrylic material is antistatic treated, but its antistatic effect may have been deteriorated over time. As a temporary countermeasure, spray a commercially available antistatic agent.
