Three-phase alternating current
It is an alternating current of 3 wires consisting of R, S and T, and the waveform is shifted by 120°. Since the same electric power can be handled with a small amount of current, the advantage is that little electrical loss is generated, and it is often used in factory equipment that consumes a large amount of electricity.
Single-phase
It is an alternating current mainly used in ordinary households and consists of two electric wires. The current flows back and forth, emitting the current through one and absorbing current through the other. Since, the voltage is as low as 100-200V, it is often used to supply electricity to ordinary households that do not need so high voltage.
