Question
How to calculate tolerances in current measurements
Answer
A typical analog tester has ±3% of tolerance against its maximum scale value (full scale). For example, when the maximum scale value is 30mA, the tolerance is ±0.9mA (=30mA*±3%). When the pointer indicates 25.0mA, the true value is in the range of 24.1mA to 25.9mA, and when the pointer indicates 10.0mA, the true value is in the range of 9.1mA to 10.9mA.
